Shane Prince SC

Shane was called to the Bar in 2000 and appointed Senior Counsel in 2018. He has appeared in over 70 reported decisions, including landmark cases in the High Court and Federal Court of Australia.

Recognised as a leading barrister in employment and industrial law, he also has extensive expertise in public, administrative, and commercial law. His practice spans constitutional, migration, human rights, admiralty, and corporations law, as well as high-profile public interest cases, coronial inquests, and international arbitrations across the Asia-Pacific.

Shane’s contributions to the law have been widely acknowledged, including the Refugee Week Humanitarian Award in 2015. He is highly regarded for his strategic legal insight, formidable advocacy, and ability to navigate complex, high-stakes matters.

Before joining the Bar, Shane worked at the NSW Crown Solicitor’s Office, a boutique workplace relations firm, and as Head of Employment Law at the London Borough of Southwark.
