Josh is the Centre Director of Immigration Advice and Rights Centre (IARC). Josh has more than 10 years’ experience working as a lawyer in both commercial and not-for-profit settings. He has extensive experience in immigration law and has represented clients with the Department of Home Affairs and in court at both merits and judicial review stages. Josh is a published author on immigration law, having written several chapters of The Immigration Kit (10th Edition, Federation Press), which is the pre-eminent text in Australia on immigration law.

Josh has represented many union members through the Unions NSW Visa Assist program, which was established in 2019 and is a joint program between Unions NSW and IARC. Visa Assist provides free and high-quality immigration advice to union members. In 2023-2024, the Visa Assist program provided advice and representation to over 490 union members.
