Lauren is Assistant Secretary at the Health Services Union NSW/ACT/QLD, a Vice President of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, and the President of Unions NSW.

She has worked in the union movement for over 20 years, her first organising job was through the Organising Works program as an Aged Care Project Officer with the Health and Research Employees Association. Lauren has worked at the Transport Workers’ Union and Australian Services Union before returning to the HSU where she was heavily involved in the HSU’s Change Aged Care campaign and the historic Aged Care Work Value Case which saw increases of up to 28% to workers in this feminised sector.

Lauren wants it noted that she has never worked as an industrial officer.
