Tara Koot is an organiser at the Electrical Trades Union (ETU) NSW and a qualified electrician. She is passionate about recruiting, organising and advising the next generation of electrical tradespeople. Up until 2023, Tara was the ETU Youth & Apprentice Organiser. In that role, she ran a successful campaign to improve electrical trades training called Restore the Power. She has extensive experience in bargaining including at Sydney Trains, where there has been major improvements for those electrical trades workers. In 2024, Tara has taken the reigns as a lead negotiator with Endeavour Energy where the workforce is currently fighting for improved pay and conditions.
