Sandra is a Branch Vice President and the Senior Legal Officer at the Australian Workers’ Union (AWU). Before joining the AWU, Sandra worked as a lawyer in employment and commercial litigation at a law firm, as a tipstaff for a NSW Supreme Court judge, and in advocate roles at the Transport Workers Union and the Finance Sector Union.

Sandra brings a wealth of experience from both union and employer perspectives, as well as insight from the courts. At ULIO Conference 2025, Sandra will share her experiences and explore the key lessons union lawyers and industrial officers can learn from practice management at employer firms to strengthen their advocacy for workers.
